Renovations are underway on the exterior of the building facing Glen Ave. and the interior side of the building near the Flanders Rooms.
Visitors are advised to keep a safe distance from construction areas and follow posted wayfinding signage.
Those attending events in the Flanders Rooms should park in the main lot in front of the box office and enter through the box office vestibule.
The karate program entrance will shift to the rear of the building (towards Pure Fitness) as noted on the map.

Effective March 1, the Wicomico Civic Center’s box office hours will be Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Wicomico Civic Center’s food and beverage concessions will be cashless effective Friday, Jan. 24.
Concessions will accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, debit cards, Apply Pay and Google Wallet. Cash will not be accepted.
Cashless concessions have become an industry standard over the past few years. Benefits include speedy checkouts; protection against theft and loss; and fewer touchpoints, minimizing the risk of germ transmission.
The box office will continue to accept both cash and cards for ticket sales and program registrations.

The Wicomico Civic Center will break ground on a long-awaited $9.8 million renovation later this month.
In the spring of 2022, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced a $5.5 million federal grant to make major improvements to the now 45-year-old venue.
The federal grant funds will be combined with $4.3 million in state and local funding.
“The planned improvements will total more than $9.8 million, representing the single largest investment in this building since it was rebuilt after the fire,” said Steve Miller, director of Wicomico Recreation, Parks & Tourism. “We are hopeful that this investment will attract new events and generate additional economic activity in the county.”
Plans include an expanded box office and lobby, safety barriers along the north and west sides of the venue, improved wayfinding, improved ADA access, an expanded food court and better connectivity between the Civic Center and the Wicomico High School campus.
The venue will remain fully operational throughout the renovation process. Visitors can find the most up-to-date information about the renovation at https://www.wicomicociviccenter.org/about/news.
The project is expected to be complete in roughly one year.

Event Information
You have made our new 'venture with Jesus' at the Civic Center run so smoothly. Each time we came in everything was setup so nicely. The crew setting up dinner was so quiet forgot they were working until we left and saw the lovely tables they created. Everyone is always so polite, smiles and seems anxious to help in any way they can. Again our sincere thanks!
