Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30 - Monster Trucks Winter Nationals

Festival of Power in the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center this Weekend!

When good little boys play in the dirt, they use toy trucks as they act like they are racing.  When the Bad Boys get in the dirt they go over the edge and the horsepower shakes the ground!  The Bad Boys of Racing will be inside the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center January 29-30th with the Monster Truck Winter Nationals and the East Coast Hot Rod Truck n Tractor Pull Championships.  There are three events and show times are Friday 7:30pm and Saturday 2pm and 7:30pm.

The promoters of the yearly event, Checkered Flag Productions, are bringing the big iron to this show.  Ed Beckley the president of CFP says, "We know our fans have been coming for over 20 years and we are bringing 6 of the biggest names in Monster Trucks with us including the undisputed King of the Monster Trucks the legendary Bigfoot!  The Bigfoot team hails out of St. Louis, Missouri and this is their only appearance in the Delmarva area scheduled for this year.  The current National Champion Bigfoot 'Bad Boy', will have his hands full with the competition that includes Viper from New Jersey, Equalizer from Virginia, Screamin Demon from Connecticut, and Hot Tamale from Mexico City, Mexico.  Wait till you see the most incredible looking monster ever--the Crushstation from Maine which has a body on it that looks like a lobster.

To make an even bigger splash Beckley and his CFP Crew have added Hot Rod Truck and Tractor Pulling, "Back a few years ago when we were here the crowds were nearly standing room only.  This combination will help make a great show into a huge event!" The best pullers from the East Coast are assembled to do battle against each other and a 50 thousand pound weight machine.  There are Tuff Truck races open for local racers and there will be some local drivers in their pickups racing against the clock over an obstacle course.

The real exciting talk is the track layout.  In the past there has been seating down on the lower floor level but this year we took it out for more room to let these trucks fly.  That put the VIP seating up top on each side which will allow for more people to have an opportunity to go downstairs to the pit party prior to each event held exclusively for VIP ticket holders.

Affordable ticket prices range from a Super Value $8.50 Child Seat to VIP Adult Seats for only $25 plus applicable taxes/fees.  All seats are reserved, and VIP seats are expected to go fast.  To purchase tickets, visit the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center box office, or use your VISA/MasterCard, Discover and American Express and charge by phone by calling  410.548.4911.  Tickets are also available online at: www.wicomicociviccenter.org.

With each VIP Ticket you are allowed on the floor before the races start to check out the trucks up close and take photos with the drivers and get autographs. The free pit party is a VIP ticket holder exclusive.

Come join the fun and bring your snapshot camera to capture the excitement, this is an event you and your family deserve to see.
