Street Drugs Exposed
What your kids, patients & clients are not telling you
Presented by the Eastern Shore Dental Society, 'Street Drugs Exposed' will be held at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14. Participants can take choose from either session, and both will be held from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
'Street Drugs Exposed' will provide participants with an insight into the world of drug addiction, identification and pharmacology. Harold L. Crossley, D.D.S., Ph.D Professor Emeritus of University of MD Dental School will speak during both one-day seminars which are recommended for parents, grandparents, teachers, church leaders, health care professionals, doctors, county health units, law enforcement and justice system staff.
Attendees will learn about:

why some people become addicted and others do not

the signs and symptoms of commonly abused prescriptions, OTC and illicit drugs in patients and adolescents

signs and symptoms associated with the abuse of alcohol, cocaine, heroin and marijuana

how to recognize and manage the 'doctor shopper'

the origins and mechanisms of action of some commonly abused substances

the biochemical basis for the disease of addiction
The sessions are open to anyone 21 years of age or older. General admission is $10 and includes a boxed lunch and two break snacks. Admission for professionals is $50 and also includes six CE Credits. Advanced registration is available online at
